Our mission is to develop and equip disciples to proclaim the love and message of Jesus Christ to this lost and broken world.
Living Oaks Church is a community of believers that cares about you. His love is our message. It is Christ in us that allows us to love others right where they are. Our desire is for them to experience the redeeming love and freedom of Christ that He displayed on the cross by dying for our sins.
G – Experience God’s Grace. When we give our lives to Christ it is by His grace that we have been saved.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace though the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23, 24
R – Receive
“So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2: 6,7
O – Obedience
“And this is love that we walk in obedience to his command.” II John 6
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
We grow for the purpose of being used by God. God desires for us to experience His grace, receive Him as our Savior, walk in obedience to His word, witness to others as we display His glory.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. “
