Prayer is our direct dialog with God. We want you to petition Him first, but by design, we are not meant to shoulder the burdens of this life on our own. We were meant for fellowship and communion with others. Having others pray with you and for you also positions your heart toward the posture of humility. It shows that our strength does not come from ourselves but from God alone. Prayer from others also produces the fruit of love. It allows others to enter our circumstances and asks for the Holy Spirit to weave compassion and understanding together.
