Paul recognized that the world provides an ever-growing list of distractions and urged those in Phillipi to keep a singular focus on God. In our Christian walk, we often get entangled in relationships, memories, and things that hinder our forward progress with God. Paul wanted us to understand the importance of the eternal prize at stake and to recognize that dwelling in the past will only lead to us tripping over ourselves in the wake of sin.

We all know the tumultuous few years we’ve experienced globally in the wake of the pandemic…NOW is the time to shake off the dust of the past and not linger in the moment. As a church and believers in Christ, we need to continue to affix our eyes upon God and stay focused on His word to have the endurance to run the race He has called us to be in.

“Moving Forward” is the vision for Living Oaks Church in 2024. We aim to effectively equip, disciple, and empower our congregation to respond to their individual spiritual gifts and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus. By doing so, we can be more intentional and impactful in the Palm Beach Gardens area by leading the hearts of those needing to come to know the fullness & restorative love that only Jesus Christ can provide and, tangibly, meeting our community's needs.
